The Survival Update
Las Vegas, NV -June 6th, 2015 – An update to Primal Carnage: Extinction has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Primal Carnage: Extinction. The major changes include:
General
- Added Survival
- Added AI-VisitorCenter
- Added momentum to ragdolls on death
- Added win/lose music to the end-round sequence
- Added item viewing when spectating
- Scaled down the IK strength on the Humans and Dinosaurs
- Fixed grass textures losing too much detail at a distance
- Fixed LAN support not working correctly
- Fixed player counts not showing accurately
- Optimized several particle/screen effects for performance
- Decreased the global falling speed
- Improved network performance on remote players
- Overhauled the logic for the Health Kit, Ammo Kit, and Corpses
- Ammo kits now give you ammo incrementally
- Fixed grenade explosions and dilo spit effects not playing sometimes
- Switched default Push-To-Talk button from C to V
- Optimized stamina network bandwidth
- Improved network performance on remote players
- Fixed the flamesaw causing network issues
- Optimized PC-Docks
- Optimized GTTC-Downpour
- Improved environment lighting and post process in all maps
- Improved ambient sounds in most maps
- Possible fix for sounds acting strange in 5.1 and 7.1 sound modes
Dinosaurs
- Added the Acrocanthosaurus
- Decreased delay on all dinosaur primary attacks
- Improved all dinosaur animation speeds/blending
- Fixed dinosaur eating animations not blending out properly
- Fixed some dinosaurs not having crouch-specific or tranq-specific attacks
- Fixed net animations not blending
- Fixed footstep sounds not being set up correctly in several dinosaurs
- Added friction to dinosaur movement
- Improved ragdoll interaction on all dinosaurs
- Improved the head turning logic on several dinosaurs
- Fixed Tranq/Net animations not playing correctly for some dinosaurs

- Decreased Sniper Rifle scope FOV
- Increased the animation scale of sniper scope in/out
- Smoothed out scope movement
- Switched Sniper Rifle fire camera animation to the proper one
- Switched the sniper scope to a generic cubemap rather than a forest cubemap
- Added an FOV increase to the tranq rifle ADS
- Reduced spread on Trapper dual colts
- Overhauled the Pathfinder’s shotgun
- Added a light to the pathfinder flare
- Overhauled the tranq system
- Tranq now slow down dinosaurs
- Increased Dual Colt damage from 38 to 46
- Decreased Dual Colt falloff
- Increased the speed the Pyro raises his flamesaw
- Fixed Pyro flamesaw idle sound from always playing
- Fixed several different fire sounds from looping forever

- Rehauled drop logic to be more consistent and generous
